Solid Colorful Core HPL

  • Q Is solid colorful core HPL suitable for kitchen countertops?

A Yes. Thick‑grade colour core compact HPL (12‑18 mm) works perfectly for kitchen countertops. It delivers heat‑resistance, stain‑resistance and moisture‑proof performance of standard compact HPL, plus beautiful seamless raw‑edge effect for overhang and island profiles. Always use trivets for hot cookware as best practice.
  • Q Can you match custom colours for project orders?

A Yes, custom colour‑core development is available for large‑volume project orders. Both surface decor and pigmented inner‑core can be tuned to meet project specification. MOQ and lead‑time apply for custom colour development. Small‑batch orders are limited to existing standard colour‑core stock decors.
  • Q What colours and patterns are available with a matching coloured core?

A Main available collections include solid neutral tones, deep solid colours, selected wood‑grain and stone‑look decors. Not every decor in our full HPL library has a corresponding colour‑core variant. Please consult our decor swatch list for available colour‑core options before specification.
  • Q What surface upgrades are available for solid core HPL?

A All premium surface treatments are compatible with colour‑core HPL: matte, high‑gloss, embossed texture, suede soft‑touch, and anti‑fingerprint ultra‑matte finish. The colour‑matched core feature stays unchanged regardless of selected surface finish.
  • Q Can I use colour‑core HPL without edge banding on exposed edges?

A Yes. The core colour matches surface decor, so clean CNC‑machined raw edges look consistent without edge‑banding. For best visual results, precise CNC cutting & finishing is required. Note: raw machined edges still need protection against heavy abrasive impact in high‑traffic public areas.
  • Q Why does standard laminate have a dark line on the cut edge?

A Standard compact HPL uses natural un‑dyed phenolic‑impregnated kraft paper for inner core layers. Phenolic resin turns dark brown / black under high‑temperature pressing. Once you cut or mill the panel, this original dark kraft‑paper core becomes visible on the cut‑edge, creating the well‑known dark edge line
  • Q What is solid colorful core HPL, and how is it different from standard HPL?

A Solid colourful‑core (colour‑core) HPL is a premium high‑pressure laminate whose inner core layers are pigmented to match the surface decor colour. When cut, the exposed edge shows the same tone as the top surface. Standard HPL uses un‑coloured black/brown phenolic kraft‑paper core; cutting reveals a dark contrasting edge. Colour‑core removes the sharp colour contrast for visible‑edge design projects, while keeping the same HPL advantages of scratch, moisture and stain resistance.
